Effective Date: August 21, 2026
Last Updated: August 21, 2026
Version: subprocessors-v1
Silas uses the companies below to operate the app. They process information for us, not to advertise to you. This list matches Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with these companies for their own marketing.
Current subprocessors
| Company | Role in Silas | Personal information involved | Where to learn more |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase, Inc. | Account sign-in and passwords (hashed), database that stores your account and content, server functions that power the app, and authentication / password-reset emails sent through Supabase’s default email delivery | Email, hashed password, session data, profile, journals, chat, commitments, progress, Brotherhood and Organization membership, invite emails, push tokens, operational logs | supabase.com/privacy |
| OpenAI, L.L.C. | Generates replies for Silas Chat | The Chat request described in Privacy Policy §5: system instructions, today’s Scripture context, a short window of recent chat, your current message, and — when relevant — recent journals, commitments, or reading progress you created. Configured so OpenAI does not store that content for its own logs and does not use it to train models | openai.com/privacy · openai.com/enterprise-privacy |
| Expo (Expo Application Services / 650 Industries, Inc.) | Builds the app, delivers over-the-air updates, and delivers push notifications when you enable reminders | Push token, device platform, and limited technical data needed to build, update, and notify | expo.dev/privacy |
Supabase’s authentication email uses Supabase’s default SMTP. That means Supabase (and the email delivery path it uses) is the processor for login and password-reset messages. Those messages include your email address. They do not include your journals.
What this list is not
- It is not a list of advertisers. Silas does not serve ads.
- It is not a list of analytics SDKs. The current app does not include third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- It is not a list of ministry partners. Churches, FCA, and similar organizations use Silas as the product. They are not subprocessors of your private journals or chat.
Changes
If we add or replace a subprocessor in a way that is material to this summary, we will update this page and the “Last Updated” date. If the change is material to how your information is processed, we will also update the Privacy Policy as described there.
